Whenever someone mentions Pakistani rock music, Junoon is the first name that comes to ones mind. Junoon entertained Pakistani and international audiences for almost 2 decades, even playing at the Nobel Prize ceremony in Oslo, Norway. The band was active from 1990-2005, and recorded 7 albums with many of the songs being a staple of a Pakistani music lovers playlist. The band was formed in Tappan, New York by Salman Ahmed and Brian O’ Connell, later joined by Ali Azmat to complete the three piece rock outfit. Although, Junoon as a unit is revered and are considered legends in the Pakistani music industry, but there are songs which are often overlooked because of the sheer quality of the bands work.
